We are always looking for individuals or groups to help with maintenance and projects around our "charming little houses on Grand."
The Center is also adding to its volunteer base through helpers with fundraising events, clerical support, marketing, and fundraising. Please contact us with ways you can help.

Grief Group Facilitator Workshop
This one-day experiential and didactic workshop is designed for people interested in facilitating grief support groups or wanting to increase the skills they already have. The seminar addresses questions such as:
- How can I create a truly healing group experience?
- How can my personal loss history be an asset and not get in the way?
- What do traumatized and grieving people really need?
- How do I empathize with participants without taking on their pain?
- What are some respectful ways to handle difficult group dynamics?
- How do I take care of myself so I don't "burn out"?
- When am I in over my head and need to refer a participant on?

- The training gave me a basis to be able to begin a grief and loss group with more skills and confidence.

Licensed Marriage and
Family Therapist,
Executive Director, and Clinical Supervisor
Tom is a marriage and family therapist at the Center with a special focus on trauma. He is also a clinical supervisor, consultant, writer, trainer and critical incident de-briefer. (more)

Program Director
Grief Therapist
Sarah provides therapy to individuals, families, groups and children. She has worked in school settings and with young mothers, teenagers and children. (more)
