To continue keeping our doors open to everyone in need, last year we launched BUILDING ON HOPE, a 3-year campaign to purchase and rehab the house next door. Click below to find out how you can help.
We are always looking for individuals or groups to help with maintenance and projects around our "charming little houses on Grand."
The Center is also adding to its volunteer base through helpers with fundraising events, clerical support, marketing, and fundraising. Please contact us with ways you can help.

Naomi is a licensed professional clinical counselor who has worked in the field of mental health and human development for over 20 years. She specializes in grief, trauma and transitions, women’s development, addiction, social relationships, and clinical supervision.
Naomi integrates principles of interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, and depth psychology across her professional activities drawing from both eastern and western approaches to health, healing, learning, and wholeness. She is an Approved Clinical Supervisor and a member of the American Association for Pastoral Counselors.
Naomi has researched and presented nationally on the role of motivation and values in determining change processes in addiction and relationships as well as taught and consulted internationally in the areas of trauma, stress, and social relationships. She also served on a response team in New York City following 9/11. This experience had a deep and lasting impact on her work as a grief and trauma therapist. She subsequently participated in collaborative research on the role of spirituality and resilience in trauma recovery following such devastating, far-reaching events.
In 1982, Naomi’s mother died from breast cancer. With this loss she gained a profound appreciation of the effect life-threatening illnesses have on families and the courage it takes to grieve, seek healing, and find hope amidst sometimes inconsolable sorrow. Wholeness through compassionate relationships and creative expression are fundamental values to Naomi. Through music, art, poetry, nature, and community, she finds joy and wisdom in her life and her practice.
The Center's professional staff is very experienced with specialized education and training in the most current methods.
